Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!
It’s been two months since my last post, as work and life got in the way of my blogging. Hope everyone is doing well!
I’ve been playing again with some of the templates in Photo Lab, making myself giggle by dropping in some of the Richard pics on my phone. (Sorry, I can’t remember where the pictures came from or who made the templates on Photo Lab but would give credit if I could.) Poor Proctor looks mighty cold there…
This one of the somber, proper Mr. Thornton made me laugh the most…
We’ve been decorating the house, and I have a couple of new friends out front…
Even my dog is wearing his festive gear for the holiday, courtesy of his groomer at the doggy salon…We went to the annual German Christmas market on the first day without rain in a while. The market is really good, with lots of crafts and trinkets and, of course, food!
I was trying to find a good version of one of my favourite Christmas carols, “Oh Holy Night”, and came across this live-in-studio version..
What a voice! I guess I haven’t been listening to country radio much or I would probably know her. (Just for the record, while I love “Hallelujah”, it is definitely not a Christmas song.)
Another of my favourite Christmas songs is “Little Drummer Boy”. My mother always hated it — something about the pa-rum-pa-pum-pum’s — but I’ve always found it quite poignant. Here is a wonderful version sung by Jennifer Nettles with Idina Menzel.
I hope each of you has a wonderful Christmas and/or time with your family.

Thanks! Yes, the market is quite large, with around 80 huts withe vendors mainly from Germany and Canada. Glad you enjoyed the Thornton video too! I hope you’ve been enjoying the season.

Oh that’s too bad that you have illness at Christmas! Hopefully everyone is on the road to recovery.

Wait: where’s the side dish of drama? 🙂
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and I hope Santa is kind to you all.

You know, I was going to say that there would be no drama, since it’s just my family of four, but then I went and burned the stuffing when I was heating up the bread, as my hubby was at the stove trying to help… a bit of drama ensued, but luckily the convenience store on the corner had more bread and bacon. Said husband was good enough to go and buy it. All was good in the end!
Hope your Christmas and Hanukkah were drama-free!

Not merely a side-dish of drama, but drama about the side dishes! That’s rhetorically perfect!

What a lovely post, somehow this made me feel more Christmassy than anything else this season (I’ve been a bit of a Grinch this Christmas). It’s good to hear from you again. 😊 Hope the holidays were good for you and your family!

Thank you… I’m glad! You know, I used to enjoy it more when the kids were small. It’s hard, too, when our families don’t live near us. It was a nice celebration, though. Hope you enjoyed your celebrations and I’m glad to hear your vertigo is getting better.

I took my blogging reading break during December – you’re right, sometimes life just says, “take it slower baby!” WOW – yes, Jennifer’s voice… WOW, I still have chills! I wish you the best in 2020 :-)!

You’re welcome. My little Copper is about 10#’s or so. I can’t remember. We had a wonderful holiday season – it flew by too quickly. I hope you did too and that your year is off to a great start!

Mine is around 12 pounds, so they’re similar. (Although he thinks he’s a big dog!)
